The List

Making- a third child
Cooking- chicken thighs, brown rice, and roasted carrot sticks
Drinking- water, black coffee, and dark chocolate almond milk
Wanting- ENERGY
Looking- at Honda Odysseys and wishing and believing and hoping
Playing- in Yahweh's awesome creation called nature
Wishing- I spoke softer and kinder to my poor girls right now. Sometimes the pregnancy hormones and their neediness just equals explosion. I've had to repent to them twice today. And one time was on the kitchen floor cleaning up a huge egg yolk mess the 5 year old made while I was teaching her to cook something. On the floor, cleaning with a rag, crying and apologizing for snapping and losing it. It's crazy, folks. I WILL CONQUER HORMONES!! If you know me, I never cry and I can handle my emotions well and I'm a very positive person, this short-fuse is not cool with me! As I said, I'm walking it out relying on Yahweh heavier than ever and through Him I'll be stronger than these hormones!

Enjoying- lime green grass and the blooming trees and flowers EVERYWHERE!
Waiting- Not really waiting on anything! (obvs the baby but I'm in no rush)
Liking- being married to Kevin.
Wondering- how I'm going to make 3 kids clothes and equipment and beds fit in that one small room...
Loving- this stage of life I'm in. It's seriously the sweetest. My days are filled with getting to do WHATEVER I want and getting to do it with two of my biggest fans. I get to be the one to teach and nurture and love my children. I get to stay home and teach Ruby sight words and how butter is made. I get to tell Nora how she was born in the living room and looked just like Daddy when we first saw her. I'm so thankful my days are set at whatever pace I choose to set it at. I LOVE my life and for that I'm sincerely and so deeply grateful to my King.
Hoping- Kevin's little brother heals completely from his knee surgery this morning and for peace for another family member of mine that very much needs it right now.
Marveling- at the Father's goodness. Kevin and I have been talking about how thankful we are that we just click. We go through hard stuff together but never have we been each other's problem, and I'm so thankful that Yahweh chose us to get each other.
Needing- a house keeper!

Smelling- the great outdoors on my kid's skin
Wearing- workout clothes for the first time in forever because I actually ran some hills and did lunges today. (here's where you can say a quick prayer for my legs tomorrow!)
Noticing- how dirty our house it. it's picked up several times a day and a major pick up at night but CLEANED? Never. I wish. I have no energy for all that.
Knowing- That Yahweh is who He says He is and HE IS GOOD. He is steady, unwavering, unchanging. He teaches me when I need teaching, comforts me when I need comforting, and kicks my hiney when I need it. He is everything I need and I adore Him.
Thinking- of getting up and making dinner
Bookmarking- if this means what I'm reading then it's 1 Kings about King Soloman
Opening- Reese's Peanut Butter cup miniatures. I will never buy them anymore BUT someone gave me a bag of them and to reject a gift is to reject the giver... (I've had a thousand)
Feeling- not my greatest but not my worst. I'm tired and HAPPY. Thankful and humbled to be doing this for a third time. To get to be His daughter, his wife and their mama. I'm just so, so thankful.

Spring Has Sprung! 12-13 weeks

It's been absolutely gorgeous outside and we've been spending our days in the backyard, at parks, eating out of food trucks, and meeting up with friends. These are the days I live for!

Ruby gasped when I put this dress on and said "I'm SO happy you're in pregnant clothes now Mom!" and also "you're gonna need bigger socks now that you're pregnant" :)

I just love this child. She's pure and wonderful.

Rubes snapped this pic of me - the day I turned 13 weeks along!

I've been feeling so good since I turned 13 weeks. Like something flipped on (or off!) and I'm starting to get more energy back and feeling so much better. Hallelujah! I am so thankful to have had a somewhat decent first trimester and SO THANKFUL TO BE PAST IT!

My keys for this pregnancy first trim are:
Stay fed and must eat PROTEIN.
Get a good night's rest.
HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE! This has changed everything for me this time around. I did my darndest not to pity myself and be THANKFUL and embrace it all and it's made everything so much better.

We had a storm knock down an already dead tree in the back yard and things have been SO BUSY we haven't gotten around to any yard work this spring.
Kevin is amazing. He's completely picked up all the slack that I haven't been able to do around the house and kept up with laundry, cooking dinners, and cleaning every night.
He's got a big event/project coming up at work that he's heading up and I know his hands are so full but he's just doing amazing. I'm so thankful for him. All his hard work doesn't go unnoticed - the other day I overheard Ruby tell Nora in the back seat:

"No Nora, Mommy doesn't do EVERYTHING, she does some things and Daddy does everything."

That about sums up my first trimester! GO KEVIN!

Dinner outside with these babes while daddy had after-work praise and worship practice. Playing outside all day - coming inside for naps - then back outside for dinner and evening play just DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER!

Onward to the next trimester!!
