Grape Festival 2014

Last fall, we watched Charlotte's Web and Ruby fell in love with the fair scene. She has been asking to go for nine months, and we've kept saying "not yet!" but...

THEN IT WAS TIME.

She was squealing all day and couldn't wait to get there. She was SO PROUD of that armband that let her get into any ride. (A huge thank you to Apostle Todd who wanted to pay for all the children in the church to get an arm band - so amazing!!) Ruby wrote him a special thank you note:)

waiting in line, about to burst with joy

The line to the Ferris Wheel was forever long, but some young teenagers at our church were next in line when they spotted us. They shouted "come on Ruby!!" and asked if it was okay with us. Ruby said please Mom! And Kev and I agreed and let her go. I thought she'd be nervous because she is very timid about trying risky things - NOT THIS! She'd been waiting so long for this moment and she LOVED it! She looked down from the ride and excitingly motioned our "I love you" signal to her daddy and me. It was wonderful:)
blurry but wonderful
Nora loved the rides too! I thought some of them were a little intense for her, but she LOVED them. She's still talking about it, a week later. The "bees" that went "up up up up up!" is her recap of her favorite ride. Soooo adorable.

She was crying because it was over but gathered up a few last smiles for pictures with the Ferris Wheel. I love that girl and her attitude.

We had the best night. I'm so thankful we got to go and see Ruby shining in her happiness like that.
See you next year, Tontitown Grape Festival!
