hello there!

It's been WAY too long.
Life has been so amazing and full and challenging and fun and exciting and funny and so much more.
I'll break the recents down:

-Nora is almost 17 months and just weaned a couple weeks ago! I'm so proud of her, she did so good. I led the weaning, and she followed very well. She has 6 front teeth, four molars, and cutting more teeth as we speak. She's a trooper!

-Ruby spends a lot of her time with a pen and paper, copying all the letters in her books. It's adorable and amazing.

-The girls are absolute best friends. We love to hear them laugh and hear Ruby mother Nora. "Nora, this or nothing. Which one? No ma'am! This or nothing."

-We are slowly growing out of our 2-bed-1-bath house but have no idea where to go next. We have looked at a thousand houses and all of them are dead-ends. So we wait on Yahweh's perfect timing for His blessing that'll sweep us off our feet.

-Randomly, I was changing Nora after a bath and the feeling of "I want to have another baby soon" waved over me. I quietly said it to Kevin that night and he said "that's so weird. I picked Nora up out of her crib today and thought 'time for a little baby again' since she seemed so big."
So, we'll see when. No time soon, but this is a big deal for me because I was terrified of having more after the pain of childbirth and the year of *bleep* I had with Nora as an infant! That year was the hardest I've lived so far, but one of the most valuable. I've learned SO MUCH since her birth. I love growing up. And nothing grows you up faster than surrendering yourself to the will of Yahweh.

-I want to get pregnant late summer/early fall but we'll see how that all actually pans out:)

- These children are our legacy. They have so many needs right now and that can get exhausting but the fruit of our labor will be invaluable. We love them so! They are more than worth it.

-Kevin and I are starting Crossfit this month for me and next for him. SO FUN! I've gotten to attend several classes with my sis-in-laws and I was hooked. Working out like that to me is like Ruby is at a playground. I love it! We are also experimenting with our diet and trying out Paleo, which is cutting out grains and sugars and dairy, and we have just thrived on it. Nutrition and fitness are things that are very important and interesting to me and I hope our children are soaking in our lifestyle of staying fit and healthy and creating fun, exciting meals and snacks full of nutrition and flavor.

-Kevin is the hardest working man I know. He has no spare time, it seems. He is really hoping and believing that he'll be able to find some and start writing an album, since this is one of his greatest desires right now. I really believe that since he puts his family first, that Yahweh will honor that and Kevin will be able to find time to write and the songs will come so quickly and easily and be a pure flow out of him.

-Everything is going really, really well. Can you believe Ruby is 4 in 2 months?????
RUBY! THE BABY THAT STARTED THIS BLOG! 4 YEARS OLD!
She absolutely amazes us. She is a question asker, that's for sure. And she likes to say something one thousand times, BUT she is a learner and an obeyer. If you take the time to sit and talk to her about not asking a thousand times - she works on it. And does amazing. She catches herself and says "woops, sorry!"  and tries to do better.
Nora is truly a delight. She will exhaust you and then make you smile from ear to ear just thinking of her. My mom says that her feisty/sweet personality is exactly how I was in the 80's. She likes to release anger/tension by throwing something, and then looking to her parents shamefully with a bit of a justification look on her face like "what? I'm mad." When we correct her, though, she responds pretty well to that. Sometimes it hurts her feelings, and sometimes she sweetly says "yet sir"
