Art Museum Date Night

Friday night we got to go on the coolest, most special date night we've ever been on.
It just fell in our laps, too. The best kind of nights:)
We went out with our dear friends, The Murners and The Jordans.

This is the senior minister at our church, Apostle Todd and his beautiful wife Autumn. These people are family to us. From day one, when we walked in with our tattoos, piercings, lost souls, and major identity issues, they saw us for who we really are, yet loved us dearly right where we were.
He's Kevin's boss, our apostle, the man who married us, and our dear friend. We love this couple.

These are Henry and Caroline Jordan...our other dear friends that we just love. They helped start The Rock when it was established in NWA and have been an important part of our lives as well. While they aren't in "ministry" (as it pertains to the five-fold calling..apostles/prophets/pastor/teacher/evangelist) Henry and Caroline are *quite* high up in Walmart and that company is blessed to have them. They are an amazing couple who have followed Yahweh for 27 years now and have the stories to tell it.

We have learned and drawn so much out of these two couples. They are leaders, but friends. We sometimes all forget THEY COULD BE OUR PARENTS!! :)

We live in the headquarters of Walmart, a rather successful company...maybe you've heard of it?
Anyway...there is lots of money in our little (but getting not so little) hometown.
Alice Walton (daughter of Sam Walton, who started Walmart) is a huge art lover and opened this breathtakingly gorgeous Museum of American Art.
My momma bought us kids a membership to it, and then the Walmart foundation donated like 8 billion dollars or something and now it's free to the public. Just amazing!

I don't know much about art, but I squealed when I saw this! Georgie! This painting is so famous!

I promise I'm not touching it!

In my mind, I have always thought Davie Crockett was a great deal more handsome than this...

Rosie the Riveter!

 Dolly, my girl.

Beautiful art, beautiful architecture...

It was just such a fun and amazing night...
We will be going back soon!

Very cool. Now we have even more reasons to visit the Home of the Keihns (a.k.a Home of Wal Mart)

I haven't been yet (and it'll probably be forever until I get to go), so thanks for posting some pics! Cured my curiosity. Looks like an awesome time. Loved your photography, too!
