Or, at least...closer than I've been in a while.
I am feeling SOOOO much better. I can actually eat healthy foods now and it not make me sick to think of (with some exceptions. Brown rice, I loathe your smell with every part of me)
It feels so good to be eating well again. I feel so much better (duh) and am just so happy I can nourish my baby and my body again. I had a few week period where I was not doing so hot and I wish more than anything I didn't have that period, but you know what? You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. I am so hard on myself and expect perfection, because I am God's and He's perfect so it just makes sense that I should do the very best, all the time.
But it's a process, and I'm learning. So here's to more grace on myself.
And looky here now, that yuck part is over and I'm back to healthier, happier self!
Just...a much more tired version of her:)
These overnight oats are delicious and a great way to get some raw food into your diet!
Oats, plain organic yogurt, milk, honey, vanilla extract, blueberries, and chia seeds. Let it sit overnight in your fridge and it's ready and waiting for ya in the mornings. Delicious paired with a hot tea or coffee, or you can heat it up a bit to take the chill out.
I am actually meal-planning, and organizing and thinking ahead more than "get through this hour..." and that's so exciting to me!
Other exciting news:
I ran 1 mile the other day! Mostly downhill, but who's counting? It felt AMAZING. Just have to get myself out there and I can do it.
We got to meet and see our baby! Had our first ultrasound (we're doing a homebirth with a midwife, but my OB/GYN has actually become a friend of ours since I cut his hair and he did an ultrasound for us. Love that man) Anyway...it was the cutest little baby I've ever seen in my life. Moving it's legs for us already...at 11 weeks. I love you, Baby Kiehn.
Oh the heartbeat was in the 160's. Ruby's was in the 180's. This is so totally a boy.
