Race For the Child 5K

Another fun 5K under our belt. The Kiehns wanted to bless the family and do it all together, so they payed for us all to run. Such a great experience and I am so proud of everyone! Didn't get any shots of us running because...well, we were all running. But here's some pics of the event.

6 something in the morning...

Ruby LOVES Justin, Kevin's little bro. She thinks he is so cool.

Our friends winning medals! Stephen, far left, is Kevin's little brother. He has never ran a race before in his life and is up on stage winning a medal. He's extremely athletic naturally and all the Kiehns just have this humble but strong "no one can tell me I CAN'T do it, because I CAN do it" mentality that I am waiting to rub off on me 100%. So we were cracking up at Stephen because everyone is all decked out in their typical running gear and expensive tennis shoes and he's wearing and flannel button up, basketball shorts, and old Walmart tennies. That, ladies and gentlemen, is my brother.
Oh, and our buddy Chas, the middle guy. He always places though. Look at those legs! 3 strides and he's done with a mile.

Another fun race. I did my best time so far! However...not what I was wanting. I wanted to get under 30 minutes...I got 30:15. Man! Next time....

Excellent, Jessica, excellent. Looks like you're enjoying your new activity. Do you and Kevin run together or is this "serious time"?

this is serious time! Lets just say he is ALWAYS at the finish line cheering me in, since he's well done with his race by the time i show up:)

Whoa! Who's the little Kevin holding Ruby? Surely he is a relative. And Ruby...adorable as ever.

so many things I want to say here!!! Okay, first off, you look amazing. I don't know if it's the running or the natural stuff or what, but it's working. Your body is kickin'.

Love Ruby's jeggings and her face in that pic...both were cracking me up!!!

And yes, LOVE Kevin's brother's outfit. HILARIOUS!
