Time To Tone

Day 2 of Jillian Michaels.
I half hate her, half love her, I can't quite figure it out.

Either way, I have only done it twice and the first time I was more sore than I thought possible. I felt like someone had beat me up. (I am very out of shape)
And tonight when I did it, I feel great, like nice and tight. I'll be toned like Jill in no time! Right?

Kevin did it with me tonight and I just wanted to drop my weights and run over and hug him. I looooove when he does stuff like that with me. I hope he sticks with it, I think he will.
Every person I have ever spoken to that has done this video has lost weight, it's crazy. Every single one!
Not trying to lose weight, but it would be nice to jiggle less.

True story: We jump and dance and have a big time at our church during worship. Seriously, we are all about let yourself go and just enjoy. Of course, not everyone does this, but the majority of us are up front dancing our hearts out while we worship our King. One time we all broke into a conga line during worship, haha I'm not kidding. We were singing about being free and not caring what people thought about anymore.
**side note** I am a big believer in dancing. It breaks through all barriers of guarding yourself and worrying what people will think. It sets you free when you just embrace it. This is why wedding receptions when everyone is dancing is SO fun! People are just letting go and enjoying life! (and hopefully not drunk while doing so)

Anyways. So since I do let go and boogie at church, you have to find Sunday clothes that coincide with that. One Sunday morning I tried on a kind of flowly simple dress and I joked around and went up to Kevin and said "is this modest?" and starting jumping.
He looked at me with a crazy face and says "what's that slapping noise?!"
I squawked back..."IT'S MY THIGHS!"

And that, my friends, is how I know it's time to tone.

Hahahaha! I love your sense of humor. PLUS that your church embraces being so free in worship! Our church is all about freedom of worship too! I LOVE dancing during worship and being as free as I possibly can be! I will dance like David danced!

Very funny! I have the 30 Day Shred but only use it when I can't get to the gym or do the C25K jogging with the dog. I am not a huge home exercise DVD person as I like the live classes at the gym (Spinning is addicting), but the 30 Day Shred is a good one to do at home...short and effective! i just bought the Bob Harper Kettlebell Cardio one because I had bought a kettlebell but haven't used it yet. Have fun exercising...wait until Ruby is old enough to want to do it with you!

Haha! I'm dying laughing. That is hilarious. Just like Aaron telling me that my butt looks like a pancake! Ugh.

I did JM 30-day Shred 3xs after Elle Louise was born and it killed me!!! Seriously harder than running 10 miles. And yes I used to do that too! So sad. Maybe Aaron and I will jump on the JM train again. Keep us posted on your progress! Maybe a before and after picture?

Just put Richard Simmons' Sweat'n to the Oldies on the top of my queue - PLEASE do it with me! We can be on speaker phone laughing our bottoms off (literally) doing it together.
