Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for these people.
I have clients that tell me they get so happy when the weekend is over because they get to go back to work and be with adults and the kids are back in school.
Why?
And I have clients who tell me about all the problems they are having with their crappy husbands. And how terribly they respond to their husband's crappiness.

And it just makes me sit back, sigh, and thank Yahweh for a life of goodness and peace and joy.
Not because we're better, or because God picks and chooses who He's going to bless.
But because WE choose to be blessed. We choose a life of honesty, and faithfulness, and transparency. We choose to have clean hands and a pure heart. We choose to lay our lives down for one another to bless our spouse. We choose to count the things of this world a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of family, one another, and our Father.

It's a good, good life, and I think everyone should live it.

What a wonderful post! This is beautiful. We do have SO MUCH to be thankful for! Thanks for reminding us once again to look to those around us. We don't have to look far at all for our blessings! Great post!

Ah, that's so sad that your clients are saying that. I get sad on Sunday nights knowing we will all split up on Monday morning! Thank God for our wonderful families and for the happiness we choose to live!!!

It is all about choices. You are blessed to realize this so early in your marriage and as you begin raising your children. Very wise words, Jessica.

Perspective always shed light on to our lives'. It is really sad that your clients are so critical of their families. Maybe they need some counseling. :)

You are truly one of the sweetest families I know. So glad that God has put you and yours in my life. You are a breath of fresh air in this crazy world! Sweet Ruby is going to be the sweetest of sweet for having being raised by you and Kevin!
