Looking At Old Pics

video

Not the strongest girl in the bunch. This video is from when I was in my first trimester and very tired and sick (hence my attire) but we just wanted to get out and get some fresh air (and Braum's Ice Cream).

Here's Kevin's slightly better attempt. We are wimps. My Marine brother-in-laws would disappointingly shake their heads at us.

I am so bummed! I went to upload 100 something ADORABLE pictures that we've taken over the past few months and somehow they all got deleted off my camera, but none of them made it to the computer in the uploading process. That. sucks. Oh well, I called Kevin and he said "it's ok, we still have a lot of life to live and a lot more pictures to take". That's true. Until then I may just keep putting up oldies but goodies for a little bit.

Like this one.

I would add more but these took 64 hours to load and I think I hear Ruby girl waking up.

As my friend Kari always says "Talk soon!"

"I Think A Change Would Do You Good!"

Would someone please remind me why I thought remodeling our kitchen and living room with a 7 month old baby, a two-job working husband, a part time working me wouldn't take that long? Who was I kidding?
It's ok though. I used to be so over-the-top "quick, everything MUST be done NOW" and my husband has taught me to just slow down, take a deep breath, and evaluate the important things in life. And we will get it done, and it will be gorgeous.

{we went with the color on the left, by the way, not the putrid yellow that is already all over our house}

On an entirely separate note, I cut some major bangs. At first  I hated them. Thoughts of kindergarten, and then the Beatles flooded my head when I looked at my short, blunt bangs. But now I love them. Something different without being over the top.

{right when I started liking them, they got too long to wear down like this, so now I have the dilemma of choosing to let them swoop to the side or keep them short like this...}
With the freshness of Fall here, it's stirred us up to make some changes and we are LOVING it!

It doesn't get much better than this...

Kevin James and Ruby James,
what a darling pair.

Real Food

Yes, it's been awhile since I've posted. For a very good reason, too, I might add. One that I may write about here, one that I may not. Who knows. But just a heads up, I probably won't be posting as much as I used to.
Long story short: I've decided to spend more time with my Ruby and my family than post about how much time I spend with them. Which, obviously, takes away from my time with them while I sit on here telling you all about it!

But during her naps, and when EVERYTHING else is done and taken care of...I think it's fine to get on here and update every now and then.

So on that note:
Our little BABY is eating big girl foods!
Avacados, carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, Mum Mums (not that big of a hit...), and even...a biscuit.

She is loving the textures and the responsibility of putting it in her own mouth like a big girl.
Loving every stage of her little life.

LOOK what my husband brought home for me today...with a bow on the box and everything!
So sweet, and if you ask me...downright romantic.
