Sugar, Ahhh Honey Honey

I have a problem:
I cannot stop eating sugar!!!
I crave it like I did when I was pregnant.
And my sorry attempts to find ways to trick my body into getting something sweet, like having an apple or decaf sweet tea
just
doesn't
cut
it

I want carbohydrate-filled SUGAR. Do you think it's because my body is lacking sugar, that's why I'm craving it so much? Or is it more likely that because I have been eating such bad sugars, that my body is wanting more and more of it?
Please help!

Wow, those brownies look awesome! Here is what I have learned. You are right, if you eat sweets your body asks for more. First of all drink a BIG glass of water. Get the sweets out of the house so it's a big effort to go get some. If you have to have that chocolate chip cookie bake your own. Replace these ingredients: use 1/2 whole wheat flour, add 1/2 cup of flax seed meal, add chopped nuts if you like them, and use 60% dark cocoa chips. These cookies will actually be good for you. And you will eat so much fiber that you won't be able to eat very many. Yummo! try it. Fiber is good for you. You could also use some natural sugar in place of the other bad stuff. Hope this helps. And don't be afraid of eating big meals. Ruby needs it :->. Love ya, NJ

Remember that simple sugars are the easiest for your body to digest into glucose, and that's a good part of what your breast milk is. It doesn't mean you should eat a pan of brownies, but listen to your body and be okay with providing these simple carbs for Ruby Girl.

I ate way more breastfeeding than I did when I was pregnant. I seriously was hungry ALL THE TIME! Maybe it's just what your body is wanting while you are nursing. I wouldn't go crazy, but sugar in moderation is fine!
