Just got back from the Doctor!

I am now dilated to a 4 !!!!!

80% effaced

and her head had dropped to a +1 station

Dr. H said that it could be any day now, but his guess is this weekend. He said he wouldn't be surprised if I went in to labor tonight!

So we'll see...

On the way home I teared up, though, thinking "oh my gosh...this is the end. My sweet baby won't be inside my belly anymore, with me all the time."

Gosh, pregnancy is such an array of emotions! One minute you can't WAIT to have your baby, and then when you find out it's happening very soon...you're sad that it is!

All in all, though, we are THRILLED to welcome Miss Ruby any day now.

Can't wait!!! How exciting! From this point on you will have a hard time remembering what life was like without precious Ruby and you won't miss it, but you will need a well deserved break every now and then. I guess the spray tan is out of the question now that you are as far along as you are...good luck and remember your breathing! :) Give daddy a big hug from me...being the caboose in my family, Kevin's birth was the first exciting birth that I remember...so many years later and the Kiehn family is growing strong!

Just another quick note...ever hear of walking the curb? You go outside and walk with one foot on a curb and one foot on the street...my friend Sonya heard about it and tried it and her water broke 30 minutes after she finished walking the curb. I had never heard of it before, but it worked for her...so if you want to try to get things going...give it a try!

YAY!!! That's awesome news!!!!! You better keep us posted! And I completely understand how you feel, most days I am READY to get this little girl out of me, then I have moments when I get so emotional because I think about how I will be missing having her inside my belly. We GET to experience something that our husbands can't and i LOVE it! (not that they can't, but the fact that we can grow a child...and fell him/her move!) Such a blessing! Soak it all in now...and crossing our fingers for tonight.

oh, and I wanted to say... that the positive thing about dilating so far without going into labor is that your labor SHOULD go quick! And that would be awesome!!!!

They say when you go from "so ready for this pregnancy to be over" to "so sad this pregnancy is about to be over," then IT IS TIME!!! It's like God's way of saying, "Okay, one last look back before you're done." If that makes sense?!

They also say that the doc checking you will send you into labor, so here's to TONIGHT!!!

Can't wait to meet Ruby!

Thank you to EVERYONE! we'll keep you posted! I've been having a lot of tightening tonight which I suppose are contractions? So tonight could be the night!!

If not tonight, though, my sweet mother-in-law gave me money to get a pedicure tomorrow so that would also be AWESOME!!

Oh dear...now I sadly hope you can hold off just for your pedicure, haha! Oh the important things!
